KINGSTON, ON -- Technology transfer at Queen’s University has a vibrant new look as PARTEQ Innovations (www.parteqinnovations.com) launches its comprehensive new website.

Focusing on Queen’s inventors, their technologies, the commercialization process and the university’s innovation opportunities, the new site reflects PARTEQ’s strategic approach to its target audiences, says John Molloy, President and CEO of PARTEQ.

“We identified the need to do a more effective job of communicating with researchers and celebrating Queen’s technology transfer successes, while raising public awareness of the benefits of commercializing university research,” he says.

“One of the challenges of the project was finding a way to put a human face on technology transfer,” says Mary Anne Beaudette, Communications Manager at PARTEQ. “Our goal was to focus on the people involved, as well as the processes. One of the elements that make our site unique is our Inventors Gallery, which gives us the opportunity to highlight the work of Queen’s innovators.”

The site also offers a one-stop approach for researchers and others looking for answers to their questions about intellectual property, from university ownership policies to the ins and outs of patents and copyright. “We’ve consolidated many sources of information into our Intellectual Property section, and we hope that staff, faculty and students will find it helpful,” says Ms Beaudette.

The site was designed and developed by Kingston’s BOOM Strategy, with the assistance of Small World Media Group.
