Confidentiality
Agreement
A Confidentiality Agreement should be signed before
any information about your intellectual property is
exchanged with companies or individuals outside of your
immediate lab or group of collaborators. (A Confidentiality
Agreement is not required if you are discussing your
IP with the Office of Research Services or PARTEQ.)

Invention
Disclosure Form
This document
enables you to report your invention in confidence to
PARTEQ. It helps you to articulate the nature of your
invention, and it is the key first step towards a good
patent application.

This document,

ownership terms, must be signed by students before starting
work on any research project with commercial interest
or corporate sponsor.

Standard Research Agreement
This document
details the university's preferred terms and conditions
of contract research with an external sponsor. Signing
authorities of Queen's and the sponsor, as well as the
principal investigator, must sign a research agreement
before commencing externally contract-funded research.

Participant's Assignment
A companion
to the Queen's Standard Research Agreement, above. Students,
technicians, assistants, and post-doctoral fellows must
sign this form before commencing externally contract-funded
research. This form indicates your agreement to work
under the terms and conditions of the main agreement,
especially with regard to confidentiality, publication
and intellectual property provisions.
