There are two ways to participate: Pooled fund and/or direct investment.
Pooled fund
The pooled fund is available for those investors who want to invest in early-stage university-derived start-up companies but do not have the experience or time to perform the diligence required on these investments.
The Network will route funding through the PARTEQ Angel Network Fund (“PANF”). Investments from the pooled funds within PANF will be based on decisions made by an Investment Committee comprised of knowledgeable and sophisticated investors. PARTEQ will present qualified investment opportunities, with suggested terms, to the Investment Committee for review. Ownership interests from investments made from the pooled fund will be allocated and transferred to investors based on their pro-rata cash position in PANF. Gains and or losses will be allocated to each investor’s limited partnership account.
You can invest in the pooled fund at any time. The minimum initial investment is $25,000. Follow-on amounts can be for any amount.

Direct investing
Any investment opportunity screened by PARTEQ will also be presented to Network members who have expressed interest in the technology sector of the potential investee. In most situations, the member will be presented with a pre-negotiated term-sheet, the investee’s business plan, an analysis by PARTEQ, and a unit subscription agreement.
Besides completing the membership form, and indicating your area of investing interest, there are no other subscription forms you need to complete until you identify an investee you want to invest in.
Investment opportunities will be limited by the deal flow identified by PARTEQ. The minimum investment for anyone direct investment is $25,000.

Members may participate in both pooled fund and direct investing methods. Both methods count towards your undertaking of making a minimum investment of $50,000 in Network lead investment opportunities.
